Brennan Gang oversees KACF’s grantmaking strategy and portfolio, and oversees all of our programmatic and operational activities. Prior to KACF, she served as Program Officer for the New York Women’s Foundation. Before joining the New York Women’s Foundation, Brennan spent two years in Seoul, South Korea, teaching English as a Second Language and exploring her heritage and also spent three years in the hospitality industry as a Catering Manager in Denver, Colorado. She served a year in the AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps after college following her interest in volunteerism.
Brennan is a member of the Board of Directors of Philanthropy New York, the largest community of philanthropic funders in New York.
Brennan graduated from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College with a BA in English.

Young supports KACF’s grantmaking and program initiatives. She has helped build programs for Korean American and Korean immigrant groups in grassroots organizations in the US and South Korea. This includes working as a Case Manager and Program Coordinator for Liberty in North Korea and leading education programs at Give Chances, a nonprofit that provides afterschool programs for underprivileged children and youth.
Originally from South Korea, and having lived in the United Kingdom during her formative years, restoring underprivileged Korean immigrant people groups has been her main interest.
She has a Master’s Degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in International Educational Development, a Master’s Degree in Cultural Management from City University of London, and a B.A. from Yonsei University.

Dan oversees KACF’s financial operations and sustains the strength of its organizational infrastructure. Prior to joining KACF, he was the Senior Finance Manager at BRIC, an arts and media institution anchored in Downtown Brooklyn. Born in Wisconsin, he then spent his first seven years in Chuncheon, South Korea before landing in Western Pennsylvania as his home up through high school.
Dan enjoys playing soccer and ping-pong, rooting on his Pittsburgh sports teams, and singing to his two cats.
He has a B.A. in Economics from Brown University.
Sarah F. Song oversees KACF’s fundraising and donor cultivation strategies. In her previous role at the Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI), she built and launched the Korean Healthcare Program to provide free primary care to low-income, uninsured Korean Americans. Prior to BVMI, she provided management consulting to nonprofits serving marginalized and underrepresented communities as a KACF Capacity Building Fellow.
Previously, she was a litigation paralegal at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and a Fulbright research fellow in South Korea. She spent most of her formative years in China and Korea, through which she grew an interest in the region.
Sarah has a BA in International Studies from Boston College and is a graduate of the Master of International Affairs program at Columbia University.

Joice supports KACF’s fundraising and development strategies and serves as a liaison between the Board of Directors and members of staff. At her previous role at Futures Ignite, she built the Enrichment Program, cultivating partnerships and organizing programming for students from marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds.
Having lived all around the United States growing up, the Korean American and Korean immigrant community was what grounded her, and she is excited to work with and serve this community at KACF.
Joice graduated from Princeton University with a B.A in Anthropology and a certificate in Latin American Studies.
Monica works closely with the staff to develop and implement the Foundation’s communications strategies. In her previous role as the Communications Officer of Korean Community Services, she established the organization’s communications infrastructure and developed strategies that grew the organization’s digital presence and bolstered its fundraising, advocacy, and crisis response efforts. Monica was inspired to pursue a career in nonprofit communications through the KACF Capacity Building Fellowship Program.
In her spare time, she binge-watches Korean dramas and British mystery series and works on a food travelogue focused on her time in Gangwon-do, South Korea.
Monica graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in English and American Literature and Language.

Kyung B. Yoon helped co-found KACF in 2002 and has served as our President since 2008. Her career in poverty alleviation, development economics, and media encompasses her roles as the Executive Producer of Television at the World Bank Institute and a correspondent for WNYW-Fox Channel 5 where she made history as the first Korean American broadcast reporter in NYC. Kyung is currently a contributing reporter to CUNY-TV’s Asian American Life, which is broadcast nationally on PBS stations and for which she received an Emmy nomination. She is one of the first appointments to the inaugural New York State AAPI Commission formed in 2024 by Governor Kathy Hochul.
Kyung has previously served as the board chair of Philanthropy New York and Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, as a trustee of the New York Foundation, and as a board member of the United Way of New York City.
Kyung holds a BA in English and political science from Wellesley College and an MA in development economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
Jeannie Park

Jeannie Park has been a leader and executive in the areas of media, non-profits, and advocacy for Asian American and other communities of color. She is focused on supporting collective philanthropy, such as KACF’s, as a driver of equity for those communities. Jeannie is a founding board co-chair of the Donors of Color Network, a cross-racial group seeking to advance racial justice. She was an executive editor of People magazine and In Style, spending 22+ years at those and other Time Inc. titles. She was founding president of the NY chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association and helped lead their Executive Leadership Program for 20 years. She was president of the Harvard Asian American Alumni Alliance, leading its growth from 200 to 7,000 members and co-launching its Global Summit, and co-founder of the Coalition for a Diverse Harvard, organizing DEIJ activism. She served on the boards of Third Street Music School Settlement, the country’s longest-running community music school, and Little Red Elisabeth Irwin school. She is a member of the Council of Korean Americans and the Asian American Advisory Board of the Schlesinger Library.
Her honors include those from the National Association of Minority Media Executives, Asian Professional Extension (now APEX for Youth), the Asian American Federation of New York, and the U.S. Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce. She lives in New York City.
Michael K. Chung

Michael Keyhoon Chung is the CEO of CIG Education Group and an Operating Partner with its parent company, Cambridge Information Group (CIG), a family office focused on investing in and operating companies in the education sector. Michael’s responsibilities include oversight of all of CIG’s education businesses and the execution of key strategic and operating initiatives for CIG companies. He serves on the Board of Directors of CIG Education Group subsidiaries, The School of The New York Times, Sotheby’s Institute of Art, and Bach to Rock.
During his tenure at CIG, he served as the interim CEO and Board member at Navtech, Inc. (a CIG portfolio company) and led the turnaround of the company, which was acquired in 2016 by Airbus. He also served on the Board of Directors at ProQuest from 2008 to 2013.
Michael came to CIG from Barr Associates, Inc. (Barr), the largest independent manufacturer of advanced optical filters, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Barr was a client of Michael during his tenure at the Goldman Sachs Group. Michael successfully led the execution of the turnaround of Barr from near bankruptcy to a profitable and growing company and subsequently helped execute the sale of Barr to Materion Corporation in 2009.
Prior to joining Barr Associates, Michael spent seven years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as Vice President in the Mergers and Acquisitions Department focusing on the communications technology sector. Over his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Michael worked on numerous M&A and private equity investment transactions across a wide range of industries including information services, telecommunications, high technology, biotech, and energy.
Michael was born in Korea and from the age of 9, grew up in Manila, Philippines. After graduating from the International School of Manila, Michael enrolled in the Management and Technology Dual Bachelor’s Degree Program at the University of Pennsylvania where he earned a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering. Michael holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. Michael has been DJ-ing at clubs and lounges since high school and is an avid collector of vinyl records with a particular affinity for extended remixes of club hits representing the genres of disco, R&B, funk, 80s new wave, and house music. He is one of the founders of Beat Refinery, which is currently one of the largest chains of DJ and electronic music schools in America. Michael and his wife Hannah live in New York City with their sons Michael Jr. and Lucas.
Hon. Judy Kim

Judge Judy H. Kim was elected to the Civil Court of the City of New York, New York County on November 8, 2016, and took office on January 1, 2017. She is the first Korean American to be elected to the bench in New York state. She has over twenty years of legal experience and spent several years in private practice, where she specialized in maritime/admiralty law, commercial litigation, employment discrimination, and matrimonial matters.
Immediately prior to joining the judiciary, Judge Kim served as associate counsel in the Bureau & Estates Litigation Section of the Legal Division at the New York Liquidation Bureau. She also served as interim Section Chief where she managed other attorneys while simultaneously overseeing hundreds of cases.
Prior to joining the bench, Judge Kim served as the Vice-Chair and board member of the Korean American League for Civic Action (KALCA) from 2013–2016. She also served on the board of the Stonewall Community Development Corporation, a not-for-profit organization that assists LGBT Seniors in procuring affordable and safe housing options in the NYC area. Judge Kim was also a volunteer attorney at the Legal Aid Desk operated by Open Hands Legal Services, providing free legal services to low-income residents and homeless people in NYC. She also served as a volunteer attorney in the Monday Night Law Clinic, operated by the New York City Bar Association, and has also served on the boards of the Asian American Bar Association of New York, Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York (KALAGNY) and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. She received the Trailblazer Award from KALAGNY in 2017. Currently, Judge Kim serves on the Executive Committee as Secretary on the Judges and Lawyers Breast Cancer Alert (JALBCA), a not-for-profit organization focused on breast cancer outreach and education.
Judge Kim received her B.A. in American History and Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and her J.D., cum laude from Tulane School of Law.
Lisa Kim
Lisa Kim is a retired lawyer who has served on the board of the New York Writers Coalition and Pam Tanowitz Dance. She currently volunteers her time as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, working on New York City foster care cases that need additional support (CASA-NYC). Lisa also served on the KACF Community Grants Committee in 2020 and co-chaired KACF’s Annual Gala in 2021. She lives in New York with her husband, where they are raising three children. She is a passionate knitter and golfer.
Sue Kim
Sue Kim is the Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Peabody Essex Museum in Massachusetts, where she serves as chief fundraising strategist and leads a team that increases philanthropic and membership support for the museum’s innovative programming, exhibitions, and initiatives. She is responsible for helping to establish an historic permanent Korean gallery at PEM opening in 2025. Known for her dedication to community-building and for her ability to forge deep relationships, she has been a leader in the field of global philanthropy and nonprofit executive leadership for three decades.
Prior to PEM, Sue was the Head of Global Partnerships and Philanthropy for Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s MIT Solve Initiative. Sue led strategic efforts to identify and support tech-based social entrepreneurs from around the world who are tackling some of the most urgent global challenges. Her professional background includes executive positions at Harvard University, the Winsor School, Boston Children’s Museum and the American Red Cross, as well as international foundations and grassroots organizations. Sue’s purpose-driven career has led her to numerous speaking and teaching engagements, where she shares her expertise on philanthropy, nonprofit management, business development, women and people of color in leadership, social impact, and the importance of mentorship. Sue holds a master’s degree in education with a focus on administration, planning and social policy from Harvard University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations with a focus on East Asia and English literature from Boston University. Sue’s husband, Stephen Kim, is an executive at Raytheon, and they have two young-adult children.

David H. Lee

David Lee is Senior Vice President of Investments at Everest Group Ltd, which is a leading global reinsurance and insurance provider. In this role he has responsibility for Everest’s $30 BN+ fixed income portfolio. Prior to joining Everest in 2023 he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Americas Insurance Fixed Income at Goldman Sachs, where he led a team of portfolio managers overseeing fixed income portfolios on behalf of domestic and multinational insurance companies.
David received his A.B. in Physics from Princeton University, where he was a Varsity Wrestler. In his free time, David can be found sailing on the Hudson River, listening to music, or playing some tunes on his saxophone. He was a founding member of the KACF Associate Board, serving from 2016 to 2018, and also served previously on the KACF Community Grants Committee. Edward J. Lee

Edward J. Lee is a corporate Partner in the New York office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Ed focuses on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and shareholder activism defense. He has advised a broad range of public and private clients across many industries, including technology and digital, telecom, healthcare, industrial, aerospace and defense, automotive, media and advertising, energy, private equity, and financial institutions.
Ed is recognized as one of the 500 leading lawyers in America by Lawdragon, “highly regarded” within the M&A practice by IFLR1000, and as a “Rising Star” in Corporate/M&A by Expert Guides. Recently, Ed was also recognized as a leading M&A lawyer by The Legal 500 and one of six M&A lawyers recognized by Law360 as a Rising Star under 40. Ed currently serves on the Cornell University Council and the Boards of Directors of the Harvard Law School Association of New York City and Cornell University’s College of Human Ecology Alumni Association. He is a David Rockefeller Fellow, Class of 2017‐2018.

Phillip Lee
Phillip Lee is a managing director in the Interest Rate Product Sales Group at Goldman Sachs and leads the Financial Institutions team. He is co-chief operating officer of the Asian Network, serves as a FICC and Equities recruiting captain for Northwestern University and is a member of the firm’s Bank Relations Working Group.
Phillip serves on the board of Operation Exodus, an organization that serves at-risk Latino youth and families in Washington Heights. Phillip earned a BA in Philosophy, Political Science and International Studies from Northwestern University.
Cathy Oh

Cathy Oh serves as Vice President, Global Head of Marketing and Analytics for Samsung Ads, capitalizing on approximately 15 years of global integrated marketing experience with Fortune 100 companies. As one of the first employees of Samsung Ads, Cathy was integral to building the Samsung Ads brand from the ground up, and under her leadership, the organization is redefining the advertising and Advanced TV landscape. Samsung Ads is one of the fastest-growing North American divisions of the electronics giant.
Throughout her career, Cathy has built a track record of developing global brands, large-scale marketing strategies and activations, sales initiatives, and marketing programs for global sales teams. In addition, her insights-focused approach enables Cathy to quantify marketing value throughout an organization. Prior to joining Samsung Ads, Cathy served as Head of Marketing for iAd, Global Brands & Agencies (a division of Apple) where she developed multi-platform marketing programs that yielded more than $20 million in revenue, and successfully drove relationship management for global advertisers such as Pepsi, Unilever, American Express and Procter & Gamble. In addition to Apple, where Cathy managed a global team, she has held marketing positions at companies that include WebMD and NBC Universal.

Chris Park
Chris Park is Founder/CEO of Echo Group Holdings, a venture-backed holding company focused on youth and college sports. He has 20+ years of leadership experience operating and investing in sports, gaming, education, and technology companies. Chris is also a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Co.’s TMT practice and to the Scrum Ventures Sports & Entertainment Fund.
Chris is former CEO of Gen.G, a global esports-edtech company. He managed Gen.G’s pro franchises, content creators, and industry-leading learning platform in the US, China, and South Korea. Chris drove the company’s evolution from Series A to C, driving over 10x revenue growth over 3 years. During that time, he led Gen.G through a combined $100M Series B and C funding rounds and the development of the leading global edtech academy in esports.
Before Gen.G, Chris served as Executive Vice President, Product & Marketing for Major League Baseball. He managed the league’s $300M+ digital media business, marketing, and international business operations. In prior stints, Chris was a senior member of the league’s collective bargaining team across three renewal negotiations.
Chris is a graduate of Harvard University and Harvard Law School, both magna cum laude. He clerked for Judge Stephen F. Williams on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Chris has served on the Board of Directors for USA Climbing (national governing body of competition climbing) and the Family Caregiver Alliance (a leading national caregiver support organization). He lives in New Jersey with his wife Michelle Jang and their two daughters.
David K. Park, Ph.D.

David K. Park is Faculty Member of the Committee on Global Thought at Columbia University and former Senior Vice Provost of Strategic Initiatives at Northeastern University. He is also The Honorary Distinguished Professor of Solbridge International School of Business and Honorary Dean of the Future College at Woosong University and supports Woosong Education Foundation as a Global Advisor. Dr. Park co-chairs the Council of Advisors for the Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy. Dr. Park is a member of the Data Science Institute, Fellow at the Center for the Management of Systemic Risk, and founding member of the Digital Storytelling Lab at Columbia University. Dr. Park was formerly Dean of Strategic Initiatives for the Faculty of the Arts and Sciences at Columbia University and co-founded several New York-based technology companies in the areas of natural language processing and machine learning.
Dr. Park is currently exploring the historical arc of universities, limitations and possibilities of “big data”, how failure and vulnerability are the foundations of innovation and creativity across organizations, as well as the electoral origins of congressional polarization. Dr. Park is also working on several manuscripts including, The Twentieth Century Sectional Reversal: How did the Republican States Switch to the Democrats and Vice Versa? and Is History Repeating Itself? Comparing 1875 to 1928 and 1971 to 2008.
Dr. Park received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland and his Ph.D. in political science at Columbia where he focused on historical-comparative institutional analyses of societal change. He was an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Applied Statistics at Washington University, Assistant Professor at George Washington University, Visiting Professor at Columbia University, and Visiting Scholar at the Russell Sage Foundation. He has written numerous articles and co-authored Red State Blue State Rich State Poor State: Why Americans Vote the Way They Do (Princeton University Press, 2008).
Rich Park

Rich Park serves as Co-Head of the Financial Sponsors & Strategic Solutions Group. He leads Mizuho’s initiatives in sponsor and alternative asset management origination across the bank and built Mizuho’s Strategic Solutions Group which provides structured lending and capital solutions to top alternative asset managers and institutions globally. Rich is a member of Mizuho’s Management Committee and Executive Sponsor of Mizuho Americas Asian Professional Network. Rich has nearly 25 years of experience in structuring and leading leveraged, structured credit and equity financing transactions, and mergers and acquisitions for private equity firms, asset managers and corporates. Prior to joining Mizuho, Rich was a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank for nearly 15 years where he worked in the private equity, credit, and industrials sectors and was a member of the firm’s Global Credit and Financing Executive Committee. In addition, Rich was actively involved with Deutsche Bank’s diversity initiatives, serving as the Executive Sponsor for the firm’s Multicultural Partnership.
Rich also serves on the board of Northwestern University Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences and is a former board member of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Cycle for Survival, an organization dedicated to funding research of rare cancers. Rich resides in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife and two young boys..
James Seo

James Seo is the principal of James Seo Commercial, a commercial real estate advisory and brokerage. He has over 20 years of industry experience, specializing in corporate strategy and tenant representation for office, retail, and industrial users. His expertise includes sale-leasebacks, investment sales, complex financial analysis, lease administration support, RFP and timeline documentation processes, broker selection, and market analysis. James has worked on several office and retail transactions in the New York Area, ranging from startup offices to large corporate headquarter relocations.
Outside New York, his corporate work includes portfolio sale-leasebacks throughout North America. James received a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University and holds real estate broker licenses in New York and Florida. He previously served on KACF’s board and is honored to continue working for the organization. He resides in Riverdale, NY with his wife and two children.
Josephine Shin
Josephine Shin is a Senior Portfolio Manager of US and Emerging markets corporate / leveraged fixed income assets at Delphi Capital based in New York. Prior to joining Delphi Capital, Josephine spent eight years at Alcentra Capital, LLC, an asset management specializing in leveraged finance credits, most recently a HY Portfolio manager serving on the Investment Committee. Earlier in her career, she held Senior credit analyst positions at Barclays, Citigroup, and Delaware Investments, now known as Macquarie Investments, across multiple sectors. Josephine brings over 20 years of industry and investment experience.
She is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania and has been an active member of the Penn Women’s Alliance association. She served as the Chairperson of the Asian American Families committee at LREI.
Jumee Song
Jumee Song is one of a few Korean-American women fulfilling a C-Suite role in a large, staffed private foundation in the New York philanthropic community. As the Chief Operating Officer at Siegel Family Endowment, she is responsible for managing a $32M annual operating and charitable contributions budget, and all internal operational policies and procedures – including grant execution, legal, compliance, and human resources. She was appointed as a 2022 Council on Foundation Career Pathways Fellow, and is a member of the Philanthropy NY COO Roundtable.
The Associate Board is a group of community-minded young professionals who serve as ambassadors of KACF’s mission, helping to build awareness of issues of economic security and shape the next generation of Korean American philanthropy. Throughout the year, the Board hosts various community-building activities and events such as the Annual 5K Run in support of the Foundation’s mission.

Andrew C. Kim is a venture capital investor at a New York-based investment adviser where he focuses on private technology investments. Prior to his current role, Andrew was an Associate at Centerbridge Partners where he focused on private equity and special situations investments; and an Analyst at Goldman Sachs where he focused on M&A transactions in the technology and media sectors. Andrew received his B.A. (hons.) from the Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys running marathons, improving his golf game, and FaceTime-ing his nieces.

Elliott Chang is a startup operator with experience building growth teams at early stage startups in fintech & sustainable investing. He is currently building at Tennr, a healthtech company, focusing on reducing patient delays in the US healthcare system. Previously, he was Chief Compliance Officer at Banc of California’s asset management group. He received his B.A. in International Studies & Statistics at UC Santa Barbara. Elliott’s a fan of wine & whiskey, hosting friends and spending time outside.

Minnie Kim is on the Digital Communications team at Bloomberg Philanthropies, which encompasses Mike Bloomberg’s foundation, corporate, and personal philanthropy. In her role, she helps manage all social and digital content for Mike and the foundation. Minnie received her degree in Fine Arts and Asian Studies from Bowdoin College. By joining KACF, she hopes to extend her commitment to promoting social good beyond her professional role. During her free time, she enjoys taking Pilates classes and exploring new bars and restaurants around the city.

Jay Moon works at Incentrum Group, serving a select group of corporate clients as a strategic financial advisor and pursuing industry-focused private equity investments. Jay received his B.A. in Applied Mathematics and Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University, M.B.A. from the Wharton School, and M.A. in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania. On weekends, Jay continues searching for a consistent golf swing and balls he lost.

Caroline Hong is a Global Marketing Coordinator at EVE LOM, a luxury British skincare brand that promotes the powerful effects of botanical ingredients. Currently, Caroline assists with developing a concise marketing strategy for brand awareness and new product launches and also manages consumer-facing events to interact with consumers offline. Caroline earned her BA in Hispanic Studies with minors in Consumer Psychology and Classical Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. In her free time, Caroline can be found at Rumble Boxing, walking her dog in Central Park, or spending time with friends and family. She is also a serious foodie and is currently searching for the best burger in NYC.

Joseph Choe is an attorney at Skadden, Arps in New York City. He represents clients in international arbitration and litigation matters spanning Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Prior to his legal career, Joe was a management consultant in Washington, D.C. Joe is a Colorado native and graduated with an A.B. in economics from Harvard College and J.D. from Harvard Law School. In his free time, he enjoys watching Survivor, exploring hidden food gems, and convincing his friends that pickleball is a real sport.

Jane Dua is the Founder of nunchi, a fine jewelry brand on a mission to provide ethically made, carefully crafted designs that put people and the planet first. She has 12 years of industry experience, previously having grown a high-end jewelry brand from a 12-style assortment to a collection worn by celebrities including Beyonce, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift. Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Government and Communications from Cornell University. Beyond work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and pomsky, eating, and traveling.

Heejay Kang is a Director of New Business at Target, responsible for launching the latest trend products in apparel & accessories in Target’s brands using new business models. Heejay received her B.S. from MIT and her MBA from Wharton. She has experience across finance, strategy, marketing, fashion and startups and loves exploring new consumer behaviors and trends and building experiences around them. She loves staying active and outdoors, spending time with family and friends and is always on the hunt for the best sandwiches in the city.

Nicholas Kang is a strategy consultant at FTI Consulting and focuses on serving real estate private equity clients and REITS. Nicholas has received his B.A. in economics from New York University. He joined the KACF Associate Board in order to take a more active role in the Korean community. In his free time, he enjoys grooving to the rhythm of the beat and spending quality time with friends and family.

Jin Kim is a Senior Associate at Golub Capital, a credit-focused asset manager based in NYC. Jin received his B.A. in Economics and B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Notre Dame. In his free time, Jin likes to stay active, travel, and discover new music. He is thrilled to be joining the KACF AB and looks forward to contributing to its mission.

Soyeon Kim is a Research Analyst and Community Planner in the Real Estate Development Department at the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). In her role, Soyeon facilitates the partnership between public housing residents and developers, guiding them through the intricate process of NYCHA’s public-private partnership program, known as Permanent Affordability Commitment Together (PACT). Soyeon’s commitment to community engagement extends beyond her professional role. Born and raised in Busan, South Korea, and now based in New York, Soyeon hopes to empower the Korean American and AAPI communities at large. Soyeon holds a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Design Studies from Hanyang University.

Suzanne Kim sits on the Global Marketing team at Goldman Sachs, managing corporate brand social media channels and overseeing creative strategy. A storyteller at heart, she began her career in journalism at NBC News, and most recently at CBS News, where she was a social producer for CBS Mornings. Suzanne holds a B.A. in Media, Culture & Communication from New York University. She’s passionate about AAPI representation in media and entertainment, and is excited to be more involved in helping empower the greater Korean American community. Her hobbies include overordering at restaurants, singing in a cover band, and scouring Zillow for homes she can’t afford.

Jai-Yoo Lee is a skilled business development professional at Stewart Title Insurance Company, where she specializes in large-scale commercial transactions. With a background in technology and product development, she brings a blend of innovation and strategic insight to her work. A proud graduate of the Lawrenceville School and NYU, Jai-Yoo is passionate about advocating for the Korean American and AAPI communities. Her belief in the power of food to foster connection reflects her broader dedication to building meaningful relationships and uplifting those around her. Through her role on the KACF Associate Board, she strives to inspire unity and create lasting positive change.

John Lim is a Compliance Associate at Guggenheim Securities, LLC, focusing on regulatory responses and testing. Previously, John was an Associate at KPMG and advised several clients in the Fortune 500 on Compliance Risk matters and worked with non-governmental organizations at the United Nations in New York and Vienna. Outside of work, John is involved in several alumni leadership roles for Lehigh University, where he received his B.A. in Economics and International Relations, and can often be found playing board games, such as Chess.

Hyun Yang is an Associate at Blackstone’s Infrastructure group, responsible for investments across transportation, energy, and communications sectors. Prior to his current role, Hyun was an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs in the Industrials group. Hyun has also served in the Republic of Korea Marine Corps, and as a missionary in Brazil with Youth With A Mission. Hyun received his B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from MIT. In his free time, Hyun enjoys reading / running and is learning how to play the guitar.
